Earth Day Tree Seedling Giveaway
- Main Office - Kenton County Cooperative Extension3 tree limit per household. A 4th additional tree will be given to those who provide photo evidence of a Callery pear cut down and removed. Tree seedlings offered are: Virginia Pine (Pinus virginiana), Bur Oak (Quercus macrocarpa), White Oak (Quercus alba), Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum), and Wild Plum (Prunus americana).

Plant Based Dyes Part 1: The Basics
- Durr Education Center - Kenton Lands locationPlant based dyes are growing in popularity. Many of the plants we grow in our gardens and landscapes can be used to create dye for various fabrics and yarn. Learn the basic steps, safety, and a bit of the science behind this craft. In August this information will be used to create a plant based dyed craft. This class is a prerequisite for attendance at Part 2 on August 1st.
