Text for ADA compliance:  Lime & Fertilizer Spreader
Each year this office does several hundred soil samples from backyard vegetable gardens to pastures and forage crops.  There are always limiting factors that make applying lime in our fields difficult.  The Kenton County Ag Development Board, Kenton County Farm Bureau, and Northern Kentucky Cattle Association saw this challenge and purchased a 3.5 ton lime spreader for Kenton County farmers in September 2009.

This spreader may now be used for both lime and fertilizer and is available on a first come first serve basis.  It is being housed and mangaged by members of the Cattle Association from a local farm.  This spreader is to be operated by 40 HP tractors.  You can drive it to your farm hitched to a heavy duty pickup.  The cost is only $65 for the first day's use and $35 per day after that, with a maximum time allowed of four days.  A safety orientation is done at the time of spreader pickup.
